The Wall
The band "rocks" the Eagle Inn in Broughty Ferry in April 2006.
Steve gets a new  fan.  Jim gets jealous. Christine gets even!  Who is the mystery woman?  The band perform several tracks off their last album - at least that's what the record company called it - our last album!  Boom boom.
The Eagle then loses its entertainment licence - was it something we strummed?
Arbroath's Smokie Blues festival in Westport Bar, August 2005
Scorcher of a summer and Steve airs the pits. Gordon's head appears square.
The crowd were the nicest four folk we had ever met!
Dundee Blues Bonanza, Dexters, July 2005.
The band plays to a packed table.  The now infamous eleventh hour
"subwoofer" incident marrs an otherwise perfect sound and Ralph
from Sound Control notes Gordon's name in his diary.
Malcolm returns grey outfit to Chinese government for refund.
Arbroath Smokie Blues Festival, July 2006,
The Inverpark Hotel.

The band thoroughly enjoyed playing to a packed and very enthusiastic blues audience.  Steve again swamped by
adoring female fans afterwards. Christine consults her
lawyers.
Malcolm wears his new purchase off ebay - the black shirt
worn by Alvin Stardust on his "My Cucachu" video in 1971.
After two encores and rousing applause, the band thanks
the crowd for their good taste.
Linda from Aberdeen says Midnight Blues band was her favourite gig of the weekend!
Dundee Blues Bonanza, Lennon's Bar, July 2006.
On a fine summers day, the Midnight Blues Band roadshow arrives at Lennon's to entertain a full to bustin crowd. Unfortunately the World cup match between England and Portugal is on the large screens at either end of the bar.  The weirdest gig we have ever played then ensues.   To a man, the audience turns away to watch the tussle between Ronaldo and Rooney, pausing only to clap us loudly at the end of each song!   At one stage, a mighty eruption of cheering and applause punctuates the end of Steve's latest guitar solo.  Ah, recognition at last, thinks Steve, only to discover that England have missed a crucial penalty!   Our finale was Flower of Scotland which seemed to go down well.
Insult is added to injury later when the band finds parking tickets totalling £90 on our windscreens outside the pub after the gig!

Whistlebinkies Music Bar   in Edinburgh.

Our first venture outside Tayside took us to Whistlebinkies, a buzzing music scene in central Edinburgh.  An excellent throng of a crowd greeted us and seemed to love our music - Gary Moore, Stevie-Ray Vaughan, Pink Floyd and a tad of Thin Lizzy.

Chris the house sound engineer saw to it that our balance was right, and the crowd response made us feel very welcome. (Ladies, we left all your projectile undies behind the bar).

Seriously, what a pleasure to play for a brilliant, knowledgeable audience who were there for the music!  Steve responded by making his Les Paul howl and scream like a nymphomaniac on a spin dryer and Malcolm filled the room with melodic stabs and tinkles reminiscent of Vangelis on viagra.
Sound
  IMPERIAL BAR    in Cupar

.....has a friendly and lively atmosphere, and a knowledgeable, appreciative crowd.

The band thoroughly enjoy the sound in the pub and the reception we receive, and look forward to our next visit.

The pub has launched live music on Sunday evenings, from 6pm, and we look forward to playing

DUNDEE BLUES BONANZA 2007 - NETHER INN
An extract from Andrews website:
"Saturday was another great day out in Dundee for the annual Blues Bonanza.
A few friends met at the DCA around 3pm to see a 4 piece outfit called 'No Time For Jive'. This led us on to 'Number 25' to see Bob Hall (A virtuoso blues 'n' boogie piano player from Yorkshire).
Then on to The Nether Inn to see 'Midnight Blues Band'. This is a must see, they’re a local 4 piece band playing some uplifting Blues, they also do some good old Pink Floyd Classics as well. A must!! 'The Midnight Blues Band'
By this time our plan of action went out the window..."

Dexters Bar   in Dundee

A UFO is spotted hovering above the stage (right) at Dexters. Two beams of white light project down, scanning the beings for intelligence.
It soon leaves to continue the search.

Meanwhile, below, Steve has forgotten to rinse after shampooing, but still the old pro finishes the gig undaunted.

Sharky's Bar   in Montrose
New ground for Midnight Blues Band, the excellent "Sharky's Bar" in Montrose, run by enterprising manager Carl.

Fresh from the runaway success of Montrose Music Festival, headlined by no less than "Average White Band," Sharky's is a buzzing music venue which is carrying the torch of live music forward.

A friendly, welcoming crowd gave the band a rousing good reception in the sumptuously decorated upstairs function room.
The band "exposed" new drummer Bob to his first adoring audience, and he didn't let them down - playing as though his life depended on it. (which unknown to him, it did.)
